Challenge

With some special projects in the pipeline at the same time there were staff vacancies to fill, Envista’s HR leaders realized they could use some outside help with aspects of HR administration and project management support.

The company was preparing to launch a new shared services organization and was in the process of moving their immigration outsourcing to a new firm. The HR leadership team identified three distinct areas where outsourced operations experts and tactical support could help them more effectively meet their departmental and business goals:

  • HR Administration Outsourcing

  • Global Mobility

  • Benefits Administration

Solution

HR Administration outsourcing: As part of outsourcing some of Envista’s HR activities during the start-up of HR Shared Services, a project leader was needed to help lead this project and ensure timelines were met.  This allowed the in-house team to focus on creating standard work and processes necessary to launch the HR Shared Services.  Bright Talent’s project lead kept this project moving as planned, allowing Envista’s HR team to focus on the internal launch of HR Shared Services.

Global Mobility: The complexities of immigration requirements, relocation guidelines, work permits and tax obligations vary by country, and these challenges were further exacerbated by the pandemic. Envista asked Bright Talent to provide a personnel resource with this expertise to assist with our transition to a new Immigration Firm and to improve our internal management of cases. This resource was a great complement to Envista’s team and was eventually brought on as an Envista employee.

Benefits Administration: While the company already had a robust benefits function, a vacancy existed and Bright Talent was tapped to provide an interim benefits expert to act as a specialist supporting Envista’s internal US benefits administration and operations until the vacancy was filled. Bright Talent’s expert augmented the company’s existing team during their seasonal uptick in workload, assisting with areas including compliance, open enrollment, deferred compensation and employee communications.

Results
