I didn’t found Bright Talent: the company founded me. Bright Talent has taught me about life and the blessings and challenges that come from stepping out and taking risks.

I credit The Gallup Organization, my first job out of college as project manager then recruiter, with creating my foundational belief that people – human capital – must be integrated with business strategy. I was able to build upon this principle with other great organizations such as Edwards Lifesciences as Manager of Global Talent Acquisition and Black & Decker as Director of HR & Talent Acquisition. All along the way, I was fortunate to work with strong leaders who empowered me to affect change and with colleagues who inspired me. I viewed myself as a strategic partner to the businesses with the charter to transform human resources operations. The Great Recession of 2008 opened the door for me to explore my entrepreneurial spirit, and challenged me to take these concepts to market to help other organizations.

My desire to serve others has been the constant heartbeat in my life; it took a change of character and purpose to recognize how it has influenced my decisions. It was the motivation to earn my English Degree from UCI to learn from the storytellers about human nature. It was the pull into recruiting to help others in their careers and managers find the right talent. It was the push into human resources to help colleagues navigate corporate cultures and strategies align with business objectives. These experiences equipped me to launch Bright Talent to service clients and consultants who strive to advance people practices.

All of this is accomplished through my faith in Christ, the courage of my wife, the love of my children, and surrounding myself with awesome people who share our mission.
